Summary

add bounded finite reads of one Session durable event log at GET /api/session/:sessionID/history
page from one optional exclusive aggregate sequence with moving-head semantics
return the V2-style { data, hasMore } envelope across Promise, Effect/sdk-next, and legacy V2 clients
preserve the existing sessions.events() replay-and-tail stream unchanged

after is an exclusive durable aggregate sequence. Omitting it starts before sequence zero. The response is:

There is no history cursor, through, nextAfter, snapshot cutoff, or history-specific InvalidCursorError. Callers derive the next after directly from the final returned event. hasMore distinguishes an exact-limit exhausted page from a page for which the bounded limit + 1 query found another matching event.

Promise, Effect/sdk-next, and legacy V2 clients accept numeric after and limit. Durable event seq and version are integer-typed, so a returned sequence can be passed back without conversion or a cast.

Semantics

History is an append-only moving-head read. Each page selects public durable Session events where seq > after, ordered ascending, with limit + 1. Events committed between pages may appear on the next page; this is intended.

Aggregate gaps from private or unrelated event families are legal because filtering happens before pagination. Page work is bounded by matching event count using the existing aggregate/type/sequence index; this PR adds no storage migration.

An existing migrated Session with no event_sequence row returns { data: [], hasMore: false }. Missing or deleted Sessions retain SessionNotFoundError through the existing Session Location and authorization middleware.

OpenCord can bound pages per reconciliation pass for fairness and retain dirty state. Its global subscribe-before-reconcile ordering closes the empty-read race independently of this endpoint.

Simplify Follow-ups Retained

SessionDurableEvent is a stable shared schema used by history and Session event streaming.
sdk-next generation prunes unreachable duplicate SessionNext...1 component variants and asserts they do not return.
the Session durable manifest provides a typed decode boundary without a redundant post-decode Schema.is filter.
the DB operation is one bounded SELECT; decoding happens afterward.
corrupt persisted payloads remain server defects rather than a new public decode-error family.

Verification

Core history: empty migration-compatible Session, exclusive after, filtered aggregate gaps, ordered/unique/complete pages, moving-head inter-page commits, exact-limit and limit-plus-one exhaustion, and missing Session
Promise and Effect clients: numeric returned/input sequence chaining, { data, hasMore }, timestamp decoding, and typed missing Session
legacy V2 generated numeric history query test
HTTP API exerciser: 208/208 in coverage, auth, and Effect modes
httpapi-codegen: 59 passed

The full Core suite passed 1031/1032 tests. The unrelated macOS filesystem watcher test still reports .git/HEAD as add instead of the expected change; focused Session tests and Core typecheck pass.

Generated Diff

All 28 duplicated full SessionNext...1 variants remain removed. Against dev, final sdk-next types.gen.ts is 132 additions and 57 deletions rather than the original 737-line addition.
